ELECTION FEVER MOUNTS

As election fever reaches a pitch Nick Harvey MP also believes that a snap election will now have to take place:

'Up until a week ago I did not think it would be called, but Mr Brown seems to have allowed the speculation to go on. I he doesn't call it, it may seem he is dithering.

'If it does go ahead it will be rather sooner than expected as he has got nearly three years left. However when he chooses to do it we can be ready.

'I won the last election by 5,000 and opinion polls suggest I could win again. Naturally I believe the Liberal Democrats are in a good position to hold the seats we have and gain some in the North.

'As ever I continue to enjoy the challenge of representing the people of North Devon, whilst hard work it remains an outstanding privilege and gives me great pleasure.'
