NORTH DEVON QUESTION TIME

May 7, 2009 11:20 AM

Nick Harvey MP for North DevonLast week Nick found himself on Question Time - North Devon Question Time that is and thoroughly enjoyed himself.

Braunton's very own Question Time was well attended with more than 50 people turning up to grill the panel.

This included Nick, as well as representatives from Devon and Cornwall Constabulary, the North Devon Healthcare Trust and the Labour and Tory prospective Parliamentary candidates.

The Rotary Club's Jan Lewis said: 'More than 50 people attended Christ Church Hall on Friday Night.

'Questions were taken from the floor and ranged from swine flu, the debate over going into Iraq, and renewable energy.'

Nick adds, ''This was a well organized and well run event which helped raise money for the Braunton Rotary Club and I must congratulate Jan and Rotary President Roger Lambert for all their hard work.'

Braunton Rotary Club secretary John Needham said, 'Many thanks for giving us some of your valuable time last Friday to act as a panellist in our second attempt at "Question Time".

'The size of the audience was far greater than last year, and the feedback we have received has been most complimentary with regard to the quality of the debate and the informed responses from the panel.

'The success of the evening was in no small part down to your own personal input. We greatly appreciate the support you have given us in undertaking this event.'
