NICK CONTINUES TO CHAMPION GURKHAS CAUSE

The British Gurkha Welfare Society recently thanked Nick for his ongoing support.
Major (Rtd) Tikendradal Dewan of the BGWS says: "thank you for taking the time to meet on 20 July. I found our meeting very helpful. As we discussed, even though the Gurkhas welcome the Government's decision on UK settlement rights, the plight for many Gurkhas remains unresolved as we continue to fight for a fair and equal pension.
"I was particularly delighted to learn that you had already written to the Minister raising some of the matters we discussed. I was also very grateful for your kind offer to speak to Vince Cable MP to discuss the costs savings which could be achieved by paying equal pensions to Gurkhas.
"We are simply campaigning for all Gurkhas to be treated as equals by the British Government in the future, and that regardless of when they served. Gurkhas receive an equal and fair monthly pension from this point onwards. However, we cannot achieve this alone, and we are therefore immensely grateful for your support."
