COUNTY TO SURVEY TEENAGE PREGNANCY RATES IN DEVON

Young PeopleNick says, 'I have been approached by Devon County Council which has set up a Task Group to examine levels of teenage pregnancy and the incidence in young people of sexually transmitted infections in Devon.

'This group headed by Councillor Vanessa Newcombe will assess how far the needs of children and young people in Devon are being met in terms of sex and relationship education, and consider shortfalls within the current service provision.

'This survey will determine whether our young people are being adequate served by existing Children and Young People's Services.'
