Nick comments, "From the level of complaints I receive about South West Water it comes as no surprise that it has the 3rd worst customer service record for a water company in the country.
"The Consumer Council for Water has reported that SWW received 9,206 complaints last year. While nationally water companies saw a 15 per cent fall in complaints SWW only managed a 2.5 per cent reduction.
"CWC are now lobbying OFWAT to improve water company incentives to enhance their services.
"I have long argued that granting SWW a monopoly for such a large geographic area meant the company has no competition or peer pressure when it comes to improving customer service.
"CWC had made it clear that the public are not tolerating this."
