Nick Harvey recently joined Crispin Truman, Chief Executive of the Churches Conservation Trust, to take in 500 years of history when he visited St Peter's Church at Satterleigh. The CCT cares for 86 historic churches across the South West and is celebrating its 40th Anniversary.
Nick said, "It is wonderful to see such a beautiful rural building which contains over 500 years of our local history being so well cared for by The Churches Conservation Trust and local people, when it might have been forgotten.
"The work of the Trust is helping not only to conserve these churches but also providing lovely buildings for public use in our rural communities.
"As I discovered myself, they also provide a lovely way of discovering more of our local history and culture."
Crispin Truman commented, "We really appreciated Nick Harvey's interest in this lovely church and the time he took to find out about it."
