NICK CONGRATULATES DEVON PARTNERSHIP

October 14, 2009 4:08 PM

DIPNick notes, "I am very pleased that the Devon partnership has secured an additional £42,000 funding, this supports delivery of the Drug Interventions Programme (DIP), the Prolific and other Priority Offender Programme (PPO) and Integrated Offender Management (IOM)."

Alan Campbell, Home Office Parliamentary Under Secretary of State recent informed Nick that:

"Both the DIP and PPO programmes are two of the offender based interventions which form part of the new local integrated offender management strategy which partnerships are developing to bring cohesion across these and other offender based interventions.

"I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for the contribution the local partnership makes to both DIP and PPO, and wish them continued success."

Nick concludes, "This work is vital in Barnstaple and other areas to stop re-offending in local communities."

DIP helps drug misusing offenders, while the PPO provides end-to-end management of the very small proportion of offenders (about 0.5 per cent) who are responsible for one in ten offences.

If you are a resident of the North Devon constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.

    • If you agree, Nick Harvey MP, the Liberal Democrats, and their elected representatives may use the information you provide to contact you about issues you may find of interest. Some of the contacts may be automated. You can opt out of these contacts at any time by contacting us.
