HOSPITAL SERVICES DURING THE SODEXO STRIKE

January 5, 2010 4:48 PM

NurseNorthern Devon Healthcare NHS Trust apologises for any inconvenience that you may experience during your stay at North Devon District Hospital, as a result of industrial action by staff who work for our contractors Sodexo.

Our staff are doing all they can to ensure that services run as smoothly as possible, but we do ask patients and visitors to bear with us if sometimes it takes a little longer to get things done.

Out-patient clinics and in-patient admissions are not affected by the action.

We have put contingency plans in place to maintain hygiene and other safety standards for patients, which are our top priority.

All patient meals are due to be provided as usual during the 48-hour period of strike action, which began today (Tuesday) and will end at midnight tomorrow.

The café in the main foyer on level 2 will be open for tea and coffee only. The foyer shop will also be open.

However, our restaurant on level 0, the Raleigh Galley, will not be open.

If you are a resident of the North Devon constituency and are writing to discuss any issue that Parliament or government is responsible for, you must provide your home address as MPs are generally only permitted to act on behalf of constituents.

If you are not a constituent, you do not need to provide your address, but the matters we can deal with are more limited and you may wish to contact your local MP in the first instance.

    • If you agree, Nick Harvey MP, the Liberal Democrats, and their elected representatives may use the information you provide to contact you about issues you may find of interest. Some of the contacts may be automated. You can opt out of these contacts at any time by contacting us.
