Nick Harvey MP is presented with pledge card for 'doing his bit' for the Armed Forces by RBL staff member Bethan Herbert
Nick Harvey MP has pledged his support for the Royal British Legion's 'Time to do your bit' campaign, calling on current MPs and prospective parliamentary candidates to get behind the British Armed Forces past and present. Mr. Harvey backed the charity's calls for improved conditions for our servicemen and women when he met with a delegation from the RBL last week and discussed the Legion's manifesto.
Nick notes, "I was very pleased to 'do my bit' and receive a pledge card from the Royal British Legion. The work they do on behalf of the whole Armed forces family is vital, and ahead of the coming general election it is important that the serving and ex-Service community is aware of politicians' support."
Nick also commented, "With the current war in Afghanistan, the Legion's message is more important than ever - we must do more for the Armed Forces family."
"I hope that whatever the outcome of the general election, the Legion's manifesto will be given serious consideration by all parties."
