Pupils from Braunton School were the latest group to learn more about Parliament and the work of an MP during their school visit to London last week.
The Year 8 pupils from the North Devon school toured the Houses of Parliament before quizzing local MP, Nick Harvey on various issues to do with North Devon and the wider world.
"I was really impressed with the depth of the subjects that pupils wanted to talk about" said Nick Harvey
"Some asked questions about public transport and the cost of bus journeys in rural areas like North Devon, whilst some were more focussed on national issues like energy policy and education funding."
"I was really pleased to be able to discuss the issues with them and always enjoy welcoming groups for a tour of the House. It was really heartening to meet some young people who have such an appetite for politics and issues in their community."
